Occupy Bellingham

The small, liberal town of Bellingham, Washington has a roaring passion to fight corporate woes.  I had the pleasure on Friday, October 14th to attend a pivotal event relating to the OccupyWallStreet movement.  I morphed into the crowd with my peers as we stood for solidarity in the battle against an unjust system of corruption and greed.  The phenomenal energy engulfed every person who took a part of the peacefully refulgent protest.

The general assembly and solidarity march started at the PAC Plaza of Western Washington University with speeches from Socialist Alternative group members.  Above is Ramy Khalil, President of Socialist Alternative.

Then it moved through downtown, assembling at the street intersections in front of the major banks of the town: Bank of America and Chase Bank.

The march finally convened at the Maritime Heritage Park, downtown, where a general assembly was held.

Peace and Solidarity!
J.
